Who is CIMA Insight?
The CIMA Insight team has provided mystery shopping and customer feedback since 1986 and has been helping companies close the gap between the promise of service excellence and its actual delivery.
What is a Mystery Shopper?
Mystery shoppers visit or call businesses and ask questions or shop for products and services. When a Mystery Shopper completes a shop and an online survey about the experience at the business, they receive a payment, reimbursement, and/or merchandise.
Why do businesses use mystery shoppers?
Mystery Shopping is a program that companies in many industries use to measure and improve the quality of the customer service they provide. By using mystery shoppers, companies and businesses gain insight into their team’s customer service performance. They can then reward staff for excellent performance, coach staff to perform better and evaluate staff adherence to company service standards.
Can mystery shopping be a full-time job?
The best part about being a shopper is that you can create your own schedule and hours! Mystery shopping is not typically a full-time job, but you may be able to work more than 40 hours a week if enough shops are available in your selected market area.
What skills and abilities do I need to be a CIMA Insight shopper?
Great shoppers are detail-oriented, effective communicators, discreet and observant!
How are CIMA Insight shoppers compensated?
CIMA Insight shoppers are paid per shop. Before any shop assignment, the amount and type of compensation will be clearly defined. Mystery Shoppers receive payment and/or reimbursement within weeks of completing the shop and submitting the online survey and documentation.
How do I become a mystery shopper?
Begin by completing our online application. If you meet all of the requirements, a CIMA Insight representative will contact you by phone or e-mail within three business days. The representative will provide information and answer any questions you may have. You will be given a personal ID and password, allowing you access to view available shops and complete online surveys.
What type of training will I receive?
Everyone has experience shopping. What they don’t have is experience in mystery shopping. CIMA Insight will provide a list of tips to assist you in completing a quality mystery shop.
How do I receive mystery shop assignments and provide feedback to CIMA Insight?
Mystery Shopping opportunities are posted on our website. The details about each mystery shop are included in the posting. Once you accept a shopping assignment, simply complete the shop and the online shopper survey. You may be asked to e-mail, fax or upload receipts or other documentation to the CIMA Insight website.
How do I know if there are any mystery shops in my area?
Simply check the CIMA Insight website for available mystery shops. If there are no shops in your area right now, there may be in the near future! You also may have the opportunity to shop when you are traveling or on vacation. Once your application is processed and you become a CIMA Insight shopper, you may apply for any of the available shops listed.
Are there any fees involved in becoming a shopper for CIMA Insight?
No. There is no "membership fee" or cost to be a shopper for CIMA Insight.
How is my work evaluated?
CIMA Insight reviews all assignments and provides feedback to shoppers. There may be times when you are contacted for additional information. Of course, you can always contact us if you have questions regarding your shops.
Are all the surveys completed on the CIMA Insight website?
Yes. All of our surveys are completed online at www.CIMAinsight.com.
What do I do if I have to cancel a shop?
We prefer that shoppers reschedule a mystery shop before asking to cancel it. We realize that sometimes situations arise that will keep you from completing a shop. If that happens, please contact us immediately so the shop can be reassigned. Please note: Shoppers with excessive cancellations will be evaluated to determine their eligibility to continue mystery shopping.
